Default Helicopter Fun Fly IS ON!! With great prizes!

Just in case some people have stopped reading the original post titled " Stetson Flyers Forth Annual Helicopter Fun Fly" and thought the event hadn't been saved....it has. It is alive and well thanks to alot of support from a number of people from all over Ottawa and both the local east and west end clubs (Stetsons/ORCC) and our local hobby stores (Discount and Dynamic Hobbies).

I look forward to all those that will be able to make it out. Please drop by either of the above mentioned Hobby Stores to pick up your flyer for the event it has the registration form on the back. For your interest I've included the front page in this post.

I would also like to thank Mr. Dow for his very generous contribution to our prize selection this year....2, yes 2 Bergen Helicopters!! 1 x Bergen Gasser and 1 x Bergen Glow .60

For those unfamiliar with these helicopters...we are talking big $$$ value (thousands of dollars) for the price of just one or a few raffle tickets!

These helis come complete and almost ready to fly, just add a Rx. Not only that but there are a number of spares included such as a bunch of new still in the box sets of "sport" carbon fiber 710mm blades!

I'm working on picking up where those that started the organization of the event had left off as far as demos and unique displays such as canopy painting, etc. So stay tuned for updates.

Both Discount and Dynamic will be donating some nice goodies to go with the already beautiful large helis to some lucky new owners. So thank you in advance to them as well.

I look forward to seeing as many pilots and spectators out there as possible this year, let’s try and make it one of the best!

If anyone is interested in volunteering I would very much like to hear from you as it would be great to get some committed individuals as early as possible. The more volunteers the better, so everyone can get in as much flying as possible.

    Default Keeping it fresh

Bumping this up so people read this one before the older thread and to keep people aware of the fact that its never too early to put your name forward (send me a PM if you like) to volunteer. Even if its only for an hour or so the more we get the less everyone will have to do

    Thanks!

So who's coming and what are you bringing?

I should have a new Trex 450 Pro and my trusty Trex 450 V2 hopefully decked out in a nice Hughes 500E fuselage.

I'll be out with my snazzy flybarless Raven, and the old trusty Trex 450sev2. Assuming of course I don't total them between now and then.

And I'm going to buy ALL the raffle tickets. I've been horny for a gasser heli for a dog's age, so I'm getting one of those Bergen helis, and that's that! :P

I would LOVE to see that airwolf run! I saw it in the back of your truck at last year's heli FF, but apparently there were plumbing problems. That machine is absolutely gorgeous!

Oh, and thanks for donating the prizes. Very generous!

Not to take away from the "what's everyone bringing" topic because I'm loving that so far...this should be a great day for both pilots and spectators alike.
However, I wanted to add that Nick from ND Heli http://www.ndheli.com/xcart/home.php has 99.9% confirmed that he will be attending so we should have an awesome 3D demonstration flight put on like last year

    AND

Shawn Ireland from LEISURE-TECH Products http://www.leisuretech.ca/ has confirmed he will be on-site to put on a canopy painting demonstration!

Still could use some confirmations for those looking to volunteer...so if you are going to be flying maybe you can sucker...I mean convince a family member to help out or lets all but the heck out of those fixed wing guys to come out and put in some time and while they're there maybe they'll see how much fun flying a rotary aircraft can be!

Oh I'll be bringing my CH-136 Kiowa (Military Bell Jet Ranger type of helicopter) for now, I don't know if my other projects will be done in time.

    Hey Guys.

This is Shawn from Leisure-Tech products.

I finally got this registration thing going, haha.

I will have with me the Century Freestyle, Century Raven NX, Century Bell 222 with Nexus 30 mechanics, probably my little Century Lama, and... unfortunately...the Align 450 managed to get itself into the list...i feel so dirty...

As mentioned already, I plan on doing a quick demo for those interested in painting. I may bring a few canopies to sell or raffle off with me, depending on time.

    See you guys there
    Shawn.
