Hobbie Hawk balance point?

Hi everyone ...

This is my first post on Calm Days ...

I have a '70s vintage Hobbie Hawk almost ready to fly. Does anyone know the balance point for the Hobbie Hawk? It was given to me without a manual.

The model currently balances just ahead of the main spar.

Any generic guidance on the balance point for a model would be helpful too.

Hi Taber:
25% of the chord or just forward of the main spar is usually a good starting point for most models.
I think you may have the wrong spelling, is this the plane you have: http://www.hobiehawk.com/
If so these guys have a ton of setup information.
