I need a little hand here, I have just rebuilt the head ass. including main shaft etc., and now have no lift - double checked everything - all in the right place... so I disconnected the motors, and watched what happened when I applied the throttle -

swash is pulled down - which in turn gives the blades a negative pitch -?? I have checked all the servo settings on tx - non have changed - am puzzled as to what to adjust or where to go next -

it doesn't matter how the blade pitch is set - when the throttle goes forward, down comes the swash plate, and the negative pitch occurs............. as funny as this sounds - I even swapped the blade holders around ( what the heck )

my setup looks exactly as the pics in the manual as far as linkages and connections........

any thoughts appreciated ( while I rip out what's left of my hair - HA )

thanks

Well what fixed it, I hear of these problems everyday nothing changed or done. Magicly doesn't work.

BUT

Something happened.

Best one I found was a loose top blade on a CX blade, all looked good but the top blade was slipping. Changed everything till I spun the top blade enough to turn the motor over but it slipped under power.

We won't laugh, We've all been there.

My guess is that the blade grips were flipped by 180 degrees... so that the ball links were ahead of the blade as the blade spins instead of trailing behind the blade.

Right?

Yes, we have a winner :) - it's only my second teardown, and it just never twigged as I was putting it back together - it wasn't until I disconnected the motors and watched the mechanical action that the light went on LOL . From the small pics in the manual all the linkages appeared as they should - it was really hard to get a grasp on the blade holders ie: they didn't stand out as being one way or the other - that became apparent when I hooked it up after the tear down, and it tried to drive itself into the ground...................... but the holders still hadn't "dawned" on me............

ah well - a learning experience - another one :)

There yah go Fred - might not see you before Christmas so you and the guys have a good one -

And to all others that frequent here - "Merry Christmas" - as I know that I won't be seeing you :D

Yes, we have a winner :)

On the bright side... at least you got them both wrong..

I can only remember the vibration induced if one blade goes into positive pitch, and the other blade goes into negative pitch. That must be how the 3D competition helipilots pull off those tumbles. :D
