Cp, Cp Pro blade grip "play" question

Help ( advice needed )

I replaced the spindle tonight, and after putting it all back together ( I am missing no parts - checked manual carefully ) - I have noticed that there is play in the blade grips - ie: I can grab one and move it back and forth ( left to right if you will ) not much, but it is noticeable - and yes everything is tight ( end screws ) - nothing missing -

should there be any play at all lengthwise along the spindle - is this normal - or should I pop some shims in there against the rubber "o" rings -

anyone else have play in the grips ?

While I had it back apart, I put an extra washer on either side of the head, against the rubber "o" rings, and this seems to have gotten rid of the play - now we will see if there is any difference in flight......................
