Hi guys, anyone out there that can tell me what is the best pitch range for doing extreme 3D moves to get the bounce effect.....something I want to learn to do soon ...(The ability to jerk it through the air) I think it looks so cool when this is done through transitions from stunt to stunt:D

Usually most .30 size helis should be 8-9deg total collective range. Any more than that and you will be in danger of encountering blade stall if you have a lot of cyclic input. The heli will jump pretty quick at 2100rpm and 9 degrees of collective.

Hi Corey, thanks for your input. Will try 9+/9-....Head speed can't tell as I do not own a tach..yet Also, just got my lipodapter... what are your thoughts on this gaget?.....When I'm all fixed up, will post results of the charge time, and flight performance. First tests will be with the flight power evo 20 4s1p 3700mah.:) ....25min charge with the triton hmmm lets find out!

What about the range for 50 and 90 size birds, and is the 2100rpm range just for the 30 size?

Don't ever charge a LiPo and higher than 1C (1hour for full charge) and even then, only with it being closely watched. These batteries won't take that kind of abuse and when they burn it can be very spectacular (people have lost houses and cars because of LiPo charging accidents) and a fire extinguisher or water won't put them out. They are not like NiCDs and NiMH which can take all sorts of awful treatment and keep going. The Triton chargers are nice in that they charge just about everything and do a good job of all of them. If you want to get the most out of your LiPos I suggest a dedicated LiPo charger like one of the AstroFlight models. You will get 5-8% more out of the packs, I have measured the difference.
If you already have a Triton why not just use it in LiPo mode? THe LipoDaptor people indicate that their charge cuts off a little early anyways so you are not likely loosing any chargin potential.

Usually the RPM range drops as the heli gets bigger, for idle1 and 2 a good upper limit is 20-2100 for 30s and 50s, 18-1900 for 60s and 90s. Unfortunately the manufacturers don't usually give a max safe RPM just a recommended RPM range. The max pitch is a little dependant on the airfoil of the blade, different airfoils develop more lift and drag and different angles of attack, I currently run a +/-10deg on my Predator 70 with Rotortech 720s and haven't had any problems yet. The Raptor Hyper 50 with Maverick G4 600s on it starts getting squirrely past +/-9.5deg with max collective and cyclic.
