blade pro cp


i see there is 4 trims for the 2 sticks
if those 4 are set perfect
should i just be able to push throttle up and it should hover ?
is that the way it works if the trims are right ?????? :confused:

Nope, you will always need to add a little hit of cyclic just when the helicopter lifts off. You need to "lean it into" the thrust from the tail rotor. For most helicopters this means a slight lean to the right in order to hold a steady hover. If you don't lean the chopper it will always try to skate towards the side opposite the tail rotor just as it gets light on its skids.

i see

i was messing with all 4 trims
i will set them all perfect to my liking , inside i'll do this
i'll just keep in mind what you said

and i guess even at wind 1 k
would be enough to throw it off when taking off anyway

i have to admit
i'm not doing well
i can start to get a hover out of it
a coule inches up
then it takes off to where it wants to go

i just put carbon fiber blades on it
front and back
they wont live long :mad: :(

Think of trims as fine tuning your helicopter, and to be honest I wouldn't even worry about them when your first starting out. The only trim that I've settup so far has been the rudder because it will tend to want to move to the right, so I adjusted for that so I didn't have to have my thumb constantly pushing that way.

You, especially with the Blade CP, -always- have to be adjusting the controls. I think that's what's so great about flying helicopters is that it's not easy and requires total concentration. The little copters, like ours are especially twitchy. I tended to visualize it like a fan bouncing on a bubble of air. Once you get a nice hover going you'll find you can sort of 'bounce' off of your blade turbulance when your close to the ground.

:eek: Every heli is not exactly factory set just because one heli needs very little trim and the other can need a lot! (even if its the same bird) sometimes the links would be set totally wrong and need to be mechanically readjusted:eek:

Had similar issues with my swift (ARF)where the head was assembled backwards.:eek: This made it so when the swash would go DOWN! I got POSITIVE pitch! and vice versa...not only that the pushrod settings in the manual were totally off! ....figured out the problem by looking at the box it came in! (head assembled correctly in pic) ..and for the rod lengths just adjusted till I got 90 degrees all out for all links!....:) With level swash @ 0 degrees at half stick for me.

this thing is so un stable
an extreamly small movment on the right stick and it's gone
maybe it needs to be looked at

If its that bad you should take it to your local hobby shop... I'm sure they they can help you out and look over your machine.....there are some good guys @ John's photo and hobby! there's a couple of heli pilots there that really know their stuff:)
