Just purchased an assembled Mini Funtana at the SMALL event and got it into the air yesterday afternoon.
This plane is a riot. It is a little hard to land on full rates but I can tell it will improve my fixed wing flying by forcing me to be smoother. It can do amazingly quick snap rolls.

Hey Corey,

Cool!! I've heard nothing but good things about that airplane. Have considered getting one but would need a whole new power system and batts so I haven't yet. I'm still not 100% sonsistent landing my 90, and used to always land on med rates. Forgot to switch back a couple of times and it can get a little weird. I've been tweaking the exp rates and have them now so that I can land on high rates without too much dificulty. I mostly use 3D rates now that I've got the exp dialed in. FWIW you might try increasing the exp.

Just my 2cents, have fun,
Dave

I've seen them flying since the Father's day weekend in Kingston! The planes fly great! The guys had problems with the CF-Landing gear flexing on the grass field and the wheel pants bending back enough to puncture the wing bottom. They were using CA to stiffen the gear after the gear got bent out of shape.

Also saw Louis and Jerry Pronovoe (spelling) playing with a diesel powered version also at SMALL.

Don't forget that SIG who bought out HERR is now doing a 1/2A version of the Somthin Extra - ARF

Hi guys...

I'm fresh back from PEI. Made the trip again to Great Hobbies while we were there. Speaking of the Herr/Sig little Somethin' Extra, Great Hobbies had two of them sitting right there waiting someone... :-) I didn't open the box (should have)...looked pretty good though.

Their shop is amazing...tons of stuff...like the guy said their showroom is basically part of their warehouse...

Glad to hear your enjoying it Corey!!!

It did the same for me, I learned to be smooth and precise on the sticks with it.

After about 20 + hours of flight I had not had any issues with the landing gear. I flew off a rough field with it, on landing you can bring it in with almost no ground speed. That plane is a floater

Have you tried the wings in the forward position yet? It becomes a new plane, a little more fun:D

I couldnt agree more. I flew mine for the first time at the SMALL in Ottawa. Once I got the trows and the CG right it flew like a charm. No undercarriage problems on the tarmac although I did land heavy the first time. Gerry Pronevost was having a blast with his diesel powered version - much smellier than the electric!
