Well August 12th has come and gone and what a great day it was. The Stetson Flyers Heli FunFly was a fantastic event.
I'd like to start out by thanking the volunteers that came out to help with running the event. These were non-heli flyers who gave up their day so us heli guys could have fun flying without having to worry about the barbeque and such. Thanks Guys!!!!
But without pilots we wouldn't have had an event. So thanks to all of you who made the trek from near and far that came out to make this day as great as it was. We wound up with 21 registered pilots and 35+ helis. Wow! What a turnout.
I'd like to thank Phil and Randy from Century who came all the way from BC to put on a show. These guys were great, they spent their day flying and when they weren't flying they were answering all sorts of questions and helping some of us newbies tweak our rigs.
And of course let's not forget Richard at Discount Hobbies. His support of our club is unflappable and thanks to him we raffled off a Hawk Pro that he donated. Thanks Richard!
