Hey All! I am new to the heli world and I have done the Horizon hobby heli plan of getting a Blade CX, Blade CP and now I am on a Blade CP pro. The pro is definately the best of the three and I can see the advantages it provides, but what in your estimation would be the next heli to consider and why?

I have heard that the blade size chopper's are the hardest to fly but really they seem reasonable so far. I have upgraded to the heading lock gyro and it made a world of a difference. I might grab my dad's brushless motor setup from one of his planes and put it in to see the power difference from that.

Anyways just want to get some chatter going as I am bored at work :)

Hey Mike,

Yup, the Blades are tough to fly, that's for sure! I haven't flown the Pro yet but I imagine that the upgrades would make a difference.

At the heli meet yesterday, I was the only fellow there with a BLade CP and folks were recommending that I either get the:

MX400
T-rex
Swift

The swift seemed pretty cool because it was a 30 scale and the crash kits and cost of maintenance was quite comparable to the Blade CP! The size was such that you wouldn't have many difficulties in the wind like with the Blade (or possibly the MX-400, can anyone verify this?)

I was told total, the chopper would cost about $850 not including transmitter. The MX-400 might be slightly less but when you factor in the cost of replacement parts I imagine that it is somewhat negligable.
