There is a story behing that plane. I built it in 1980 and at that time I had a Cirrus 3-channel radio and a Cox Golden Bee .049 with throttle. Paying no attention to the weight (of course there were no micro-servos or light weight receivers back then), I stuffed all the radio gear in, and tried to fly it. Well, it flew but it was a bear to control and I was on the verge of losing it the whole flight. Totally psyched out by that hairy first flight, I put it aside for 24 years. A couple of years ago, I pulled it out, recovered it put in some light weight radio gear, and replaced the COs with a .061 Norvel motor. What a difference! Now the plane is a pussycat to fly. I hope you enjoy it.

:D Mike you got yourself a nice Antique! - The value and appeal of the model its done up exactly like the one on the original box! You never know what you might get for that in future if you find a collector.

My advice don't add ailerons. If you can collect the original plans/box etc for this model you will only add to its value.

Did you Mother throw out them thar Hockey cards? - you be rich today eh!

PS: Please bring it out too SMALL - its a attention getter!
