I ve finished covering a model with tissue but can't seem to find out what % of dope and thinner to use to coat the model with after it s been shrunk. Anyone have and idea as to what a good mixture should be?

A good starting point is 30% thinner.
Fill the wood with a 25% dope and talcum power mixture. After drying sand until very smooth. Then a coat/s of clear dope, nice and thin, sand 600 grit wet and dry with a little water until wood is shiny and smooth.
Remember you are going to get quite a bit of shrinkage so brush the dope on the wood first. Glue on the paper /silk(wet with water) putting dope only where the wood is. Let dry then dope the whole wing both sides so it shrinks top and bottom and doesn’t warp your wing.
Sand 600 grit (wet), and repeat coats of clear until smooth and shiny.
Then add your colour(thined 30% thinner) hopefully 1 or 2 coats 600 grit between coats.
Some do another coat of clear for a great shine.
Remember dope is heavy and heavy doesn't fly well, so keep it thin and clear.
Hope this helps
