Looking for: 9C Antenna

Hi guys,

The top segment broke off the antenna on my 9C the other day. I'm going to need a new one. Great Hobbies sells them for $15.99. Does anyone have a 9C compatible antenna (in good condition) lying around on an old TX that they'd part with for say, $10?

The 9C antenna is 3/8ths inch across at the bottom (the fattest part) and has 10 "segments" that extend. This is fatter than the T6XAs and Airtonics antennas (or I would have already scavenged those).

An antenna from an old FPT7UA-F would work though.

Hi Tom,

The most critical parameter is the entended length. I've got an old wideband transmitter from which the antenna can be salvaged, and I also have several other pieces of old equipment which might have suitable antennas. How many inches long was your antenna before it broke?

Hmm... out of simple curiousity, what lead to its demise? Was it a low pass that was a little too low? :D
