I do the urge to do some lathe work

I got the urge to do some metal work and have started to look around for an inexpensive small metal working lathe.

There are a number of options for a new small lathe, Taig, Sherline, and the Chinese one Busy Bee sells. These are all in the right price range but I was hoping I might find something similar, used and maybe for a few dollars less.

So if anyone has something like this sitting about or knows the were a bouts of one, collecting dust, any condition (cleaning up and returning to service an old tool also has it's own appeal) then maybe we could work out a deal.

Hi Claude,

I didn't find a used one so I bought I a small Taig lathe that they sell at Lee Valley. While it has a few limitations it will suit for many things. I will however continue to look as you never know what you will find around the next bend, another lathe, a small mill, etc etc.
