Hey Corey,

I finally got time to work on my Hbird again and I think I've got the curves sorted again (next time I'll remember to write stuff down b4 buying a new tx). Now I've got a problem with drift. Whenever I get the heli off the ground I've got to hold a significant amount of right cyclic in to keep it from taking off to the left. Any thoughts?

Oh yeah I'm flying in the basement if that makes a difference.

The change is probably not curve related, unless your headspeed is dramatically different. Is this an HB FP or CP?
It is normal for a helicopter to need to "lean into" the tail rotor in a hover. If you have a clock-wise rotor the tail is pushing the heli to the left as it counters the torque of the main blades. I usually have to lean the choppers 3-6 degrees when hovering and always need to give a blip of cyclic when I take off otherwise the heli skates off to the left. Are you seeing a need to lean dramatically more? Something I find is that as the season progresses I get less and less happy with the trim of my choppers and gliders but I think it is because with practice I become more sensitive to what they are doing. Maybe you are getting comfortable enough in the hover that you just noticed the need to tilt the heli?

Nope, except that you hopefully aren't dealing with much wind. :D

Thanks Corey,

It's the CP version of the Hbird. It's been a while since I've flown it but I don't recall it needing this much right cyclic to counter drift. I'm going to wait for the wind to die down some and try it outside the spot in the basement is getting a little crowded.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.
