Check out this video of an airbus (A319?) doing a rather nasty landing...I wouldn't have wanted to be a passenger! Believe it or not...this is real!!!

Full-size or models, Van? ;)
I think we've all seen models landing like this...but I find it amazing to see a full size passenger jet banging down the runway like this!!!! I'm surprised that the nose gear didn't collapse!

Go hang out at the cafe at the Ottawa Flying Club or out at Rockcliffe and sooner or later you'll see some pretty spectacular looking landings. In scale a Cessna is far tougher than an Airbus.

When I was taking flying lessons at OFC back in the 1970s I saw a Twin Otter forget to round out and flair...it came down really hard on the runway on the nosewheel and basically bounced the whole airplane back up in to the air!!! ...Even though the Twin is not that big an airplane...around a bunch of 150s it sure looked like a big plane getting thrown around radically by the pilot(s)...must have been a training flight or something...

Any landing you can walk away from is a good one!
