Well the old T-Rex has finally met its match and will be retired. I was shopping around and there is suddenly excellent local support for the Heli-Max MX-400 series of helis so I have a new bird on the hanger deck. I'll post some photos once I finish tearing it down and start the reassembly.

Hey Corey,
Welcome to the MX400 club. If you've got a chance you should drop by the dome Saturday night (8-11). There'll be at least four MX400's there.

hey just wondering.. where do ppl fly helicopters now in the winter? trying to fly in the wind/cold is not fun >.<...
Any large Indoor space we can find or outside when it is not too cold or windy.
You won't find us at the park until spring, go to S.R.B we have been flying around back after school hours when the lot is empty.

Two words: Trans Mitt:cool:
Great Hobbies makes a great cover for your tansmitter which keeps your hands warm. There are probably some good ones in the local stores as well. Of course If you are flying small electric indoors is pretty damn civilized in the winter.:D

Corey, have you been lying the predator outside? WIth the warm weather we're having, it's almost tempting but I don't feel like looking for bits & pieces in 2' of snow!

I don't ever feel like looking for pieces, particularly of my Predator :D
I have been out a few times, you usually have to spend time fiddling with the mixture because of the denser air but I find it very comfortable with my trans mitt. My limit is usually my eyes watering in any sort of breeze.
