The weather outlook for Sunday January 1st looks good for flying.

At the field today, Sev mentioned that he might be there early on Sunday.

Anybody else thinking of coming out for an informal "polar bear fun-fly"?

If you've had too much enjoyment at the new year's eve party, we'll understand if you're a little late getting to th field :D

I'm thinking we take off in 2005, and land in 2006. Could even pass around the TX to whomever wants a go...

Any takers?

Say, Tom, can we put sparklers on your night flier and have "Auld Lang Syne," playing in the backgound?

Tom,

I'm game if you are...........what time are you thinking about heading out? Let's hope the wind dies off a bit between now and midnight.

I think I'm just nerdy enough to go for something like that. :D :D :p

I'll plan to be there at 11:30. My battery gives me roughly 30 minutes of flying time with it. Dave, I bet your Apogee 860s would be a great fit too.

Now I hafta figure out how to get the timestamp to show up on my camera.

Thanks Dave... for proving that I'm not the only complete nut in the club... it woulda been lonely out there without you.

Here's the proof (turned on the timestamp on my camera).

P.S. I was trying to focus on the frozen-ness of the beverage in the "only in Canada" image. (~about 50% slush by my count). It was a tad chilly out there it seems.

One more picture... this one turned out better than the Nut#1 pic in the first post. Apparently I didn't see it last night when I first looked at the pictures.

Couple more pics from last night. In one there is a small red dot that is actually the plane, can you find it??:D The red streaks is the plane also. My watch just before take-off. I didn't take one after landing but it was about 12:15.

Yep, we're nerds ;)

Cheers,
Dave

I also took lots of pictures of the impromptu funfly today. Quite a good turnout actually.
