I'm looking for someone that can help me setup my helicopter
I have a Century Falcon .50 and an Futaba super 9 series transmitter.
I have a 611 gyro.
In the falcon the engine is in the front and the fuel cell is in the back,
the gyro says to put the sensor 10cm away from the motor 2cm from servos
any ideas?I was told to look for a guy buy the name of Eric Dainty or something like that.:(

I'm not sure if Eric watches these boards but I'll get a hold of him and see if I can pass along his info to you.

Hi Brunet:
Eric is a great resource. I can also help with the basic setup. I haven't responded yet to your PM since I have been a little swamped. Do you have any local club memberships? Where do you fly? We could arrange a time/place to take a look.
PS Do you have a simulator?

I'm from Cornwall Ont. there is only one other helicopter guy and he's new so he can't help... I've never flew before, well hovered a little.
I just have to balance the head and than it will be ready to setup.
I'll be at that meeting at the museum, so that I can fix up with maac and no I don't really have a club yet..I hangout with these guys for now.

Hi Brunet:
I am working on opening up some time this weekend. Are you coming up for the weekend or just the Sunday? Do you have training gear? Have you tried setting up the recommended pitch ranges? What radio/equipment are you running? And most importantly, have you been practicing on a sim? Simulators will pay for themselves many times over when it comes to helis. G3 is good and I use it, I have heard really good things about Reflex but have not used it myself.
As for the gyro position:
Does the hawk have a defined "servo platform"? If there is one you should mount it there. Frequently these platforms are on the rear where the main frame joins with the tail boom. My Raptor and T-Rex are this way while my Predator has the gyro mounted on the radio tray on the front. The idea is it should be a solid location with as little vibration as possible. Vibration will interfere with the gyro's function making it sloppy and twitchy (something you really don't want when trying to learn) and if the gyro was to come loose, well, if you have a driven tail you are instant toast. With a non-driven tail you could hit throttle hold and save it. Use good quality gyro tape, not normal servo tape or worse double sided non-foam tape. Check the gyro before each flight.
It should also be out of the path of any parts of the head in the event of a crash. An errant flybar will make short work of a gyro case at 2800RPM (ask me how I know :().

I haven't got the head on yet and I don't know how to set up the push rods.
I have to balance the head yet. I don't no. Getting discouraged.:(
I had to make a plat form for the gyro.
I have been flying the Sims and I hovered with a friends Helli.
My friend helped me build it but hes not sure how to set it up or the push rods.
I'm not really sure about the push rods. I'm wondering if the ball links or the right choice or if there are different linkages.
I'd like to get a different push rods as well but i don't have the no how.

Don't get discouraged, helis can be tough in the beginning but once you have them figured out they are a lot of fun.
Is it the Falcon SE II? This one: Falcon SE II (http://www.centuryheli.com/support/manuals/hawknfalconSE/index.html)
If it is a new kit you shouldn't need to replace any of the pushrods. Are you bringing the kit on Sunday?
