I thought I would try out this new section with my comments on this event. This is also on my web site

I had great time LOL, The weather was FINE, There were lots of Friends, Every type of airplane you can think of. Good food starting with Bill's pancake Breakfast followed by the Swiss Challet Chicken dinner Delivered by Mike Anderson. To a PILE of prizes corralled by Ken Park. The full day coordinated by Debra Park ( reception and main behind the scenes worker) and Case Vanderbelt (Air Traffic Control) Paul Penna (Parking) Rob Del-Ray (safety) Lou Macdonald Prez of our Host club The Rideau R/C Flyers and many others I can't think of right now. It takes so many people behind the scenes to pull off a day like today. THANK YOU The day turned out PERFECT !

While we were filling our faces with HOT Chicken dinners. We made (asked) Jim Brown to demo his Turbine Jet. DID he do a job. I think I missed my mouth a couple of times watching his FAST LOW PASSES. The sound, the smell, the speed un-believable. Thanks Jim for comming out and entertaining us.

On our Prizes, It is called the Dynamic Hobbies SMALL event because we wanted to make a day to thank our friends and customers for their support. So we try to get on your good side by picking up the tab for 1/2 the cost of your chicken lunch (a full pilot is a happy pilot) and donate some prizes. We also ask our Distributors, Horizon Hobbies and Great Planes, to contribute to help us look good. As usual they came threw again this year. WHAT I CAN'T BELIEVE is all the other contributors from other business and friends that want the day to look really good. When you see the piles of gifts, 80% was from these good FRIENDS. THANK YOU !

The GRAND prize, a Custom Field box donated by Ken park and MR Aerodesign - Laser cutting company and filled with equipment from Dynamic Hobbies was won by a father and son combo just starting out. Couldn't go to a better home (sorry don't have their name handy) but I'm sure we'll see them around more now.

What makes a good day for me. Well I had 4 Flights with my TWIN STAR, 2 Flights with my MISS PIGGY 3D all went home in one piece. I saw so many friends and talked the whole day. I even won a screwdriver set, no there was no fix in LOL.

Anyway, check out my pictures and I'm sure there will be lots more on the Calm Days Forum http://www.dynamichobbies.com/image/tid/28
