Richard at Discount Hobbies has requested the tester. No word on when he'll receive it yet but I'll put a post here when I know.

Futaba's advisory now lists a bunch of hobbyshops in the U.S. and Canada where radio equipment can be tested for the GUID problem. Unfortunately, Ottawa isn't on the list at this time. Hopefully, this will be remedied shortly.

We have requested at test set up also.
The problem is there are so many shops that want one and only so many fixtures. Cost is not an issue.
Looks like HOBBY HOBBY in Mississauga (sp) is our closest one and I'm not sure they really have one yet, but are listed. and will get one first.
I don't know how big a problem Futaba has but they are working as hard as they can to resolve it.

Futaba has added some new material (serial number ranges) to their 2.4 ghz advisory. Users of these systems should have a look.

Yah they have serial numbers but very large group.
Basically if it was manufactured in 08 or inspected 07 unit you are OK.
If not you have to worry.
I hope we can get the testing stations so we can sleep at night LOL

I just pulled out all my FASST systems (6) and tried all veriations, turned each rx on with 1 tx and and went thru all the systms.
if I had 2 on the same channel I think I would have found it.
All systems worked as claimed with no interaction between them.
The sales lady at Great Planes said they have found 1 system in North America They have sent out 100 test stations and have been in use for 2 weeks or so and haven't found any more units She stressed that it was very very rare and we should not worry.
Futaba is being very active to make sure there are no problems.

GOOD news, Our sales rep from Futaba called me today to tell me our test unit is going to ship on Monday.
If all goes well we will be able to test your Futaba 2.4 GHZ FASST system by Friday (Feb 15) or the next Monday at the latest.
So don't send your system back yet, we should be able to test for the faulty equipment in a week or so..
I will keep you informed here or call Dynamic Hobbies for any news and updates
Thanks
Fred
All Futaba 2.4ghz equipment bought from us or elsewhere will be tested free of charge.

Okay... now things are making a little more sense. I think THIS is the reason why we haven't seen a FASST vertion of the 9C yet:

Looks very interesting.

Just to let you guys know we have gotten our 2.4 tester from Futaba.
So if you are worried about your setup come on in and we will test it for free.
Does not matter if you bought your radio from us or not.

We have received our FASST tester
We are now able to test your Futaba 2.4 GHZ FASST system and already have tested and passed a few customer radios plus all our stock.
So don't send your system back, we will test for the faulty equipment. It takes about 3 minutes most of that is finding the tester.
Even if you did not buy your equipment from us. Bring it in for the piece of mind.
NO CHARGE
I will keep you informed here or you can call Dynamic Hobbies for any news and updates
Thanks
